IT’S NEVER GONNA BE THE SAME 6/36 (2022)
photo paper laminated on wooden frames, ca. 250 x 250 cm
the series “It’s never gonna be the same” deals with finiteness in which the artist tries to find a way of how to deal with what was lost.
This latest work shows a six-piece structure in the shape of gravestones. Each piece stands for a close person of the artist which no longer exists. The wooden frames are covered with photographs from the last film roll of the artists first analog camera, dedicated as a farewell.
„Wake up where the clouds are far behind me. Where trouble melts like lemon drops, high above the chimney tops.“
